HALIBURTON HIKING & SPA WEEKEND
Managing stress is a huge component of everyday life... As a result, doctors are now 'prescribing' spa therapies in some instances rather than traditional medications (Ontario's Premier Spas, 2004).
Spring is a time of renewal, and this weekend will pamper our bodies and rejuvenate our spirits. Mornings begin with stretch classes to awaken our muscles before taking to one of Haliburton County's scenic hiking trails. We shall hike the Ridge Trail and its Circle of 5 Viewpoints as well as the trails at the Leslie M. Frost Natural Resources Centre. Both hikes will lead us through the natural beauty of the land with many opportunities for viewing wildlife and incredible scenery. Our first day of hiking ends at the Angel's Spa, a "heavenly sanctuary for the senses". After soaking our tired feet in a scented footbath, we will have a choice of one of five spa packages designed specifically for us. Accommodations and meals are at the DELTA PINESTONE RESORT, a picturesque resort located on 280 forested acres in the heart of the Haliburton Highlands. This makes a great "girls' weekend"!
